John Kluczynski, Psy.D

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. John has been involved in the mental health field since 1975. He earned an undergraduate degree, Cum Laude, from Loyola University of Chicago. While in graduate school, he held several positions working with individuals with substance abuse problems and later with juvenile offenders. In 1981, Dr. John completed a Clinical Psychology Internship at the Edward Hines V.A. Hospital, and in 1983 he earned his Psy.D with honors from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Following graduation, Dr. John began what would be a 37-year history of training, supervising, and teaching a generation of young psychologists. In 1993, he was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Also, he ran several large mental health programs, including the Kane County Diagnostic Center and Illinois Biodyne.

In 1987, Dr. John began a solo practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the western suburbs of Chicago. He worked with a wide range of clientele utilizing a biopsychosocial approach to therapy. He has seen clients from ages 13 to 82. He specializes in addictions and also sees clients with a wide range of issues.

Dr. John has been involved in coaching and officiating volleyball for 25 years. He has combined his interest in athletics and clinical psychology by providing services to numerous athletes and their families.

Dr. John recently moved to Arizona and hopes to continue his work with clients for many years. He is a licensed Psychologist in both Arizona and Illinois. He is listed in the National Register of Providers in Psychology and is a life member of the American Psychological Association. Also, Dr. John is a nationally certified Addictions Specialist.

He has been married for 40 years and has two adult daughters.

Dr. John sees patients 13 years and older.
