Christina Barnes is a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 27 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. With a strong foundation in both nursing and psychiatry, she is committed to helping individuals navigate the challenges of mental illness and achieve emotional well-being.

After working 3 years as a Registered Nurse in mental health, Christina felt there were more ways she could challenge herself and expand her abilities to provide those she serves with more practical tools. She is passionate about helping those who are suffering, not just with words of encouragement but with real, practical support. She believes compassion should be backed by action- whether its offering a helping hand, finding solutions to ease someone’s burden, or simply being present when they need it most. Christina is committed to making a meaningful difference by turning empathy into tangible help that truly improves lives.

Christina earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Arizona State University and holds board certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing.  With a passion for holistic, patient-centered care, she is skillful in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.

In her clinical practice, Christina utilizes a combination of medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions to tailor treatment plans that meet each patient’s unique needs. She believes in fostering a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey. Throughout her career, Christina Barnes has worked in diverse settings,
including hospitals, outpatient clinics, community health centers, and private practice.
