Dr. Klapman earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, before completing both her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She completed her predoctoral internship in community mental health at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services.

 Dr. Klapman is passionate about supporting individuals and couples as they navigate life’s most meaningful and challenging experiences with compassion and authenticity. Her background in health psychology has deepened her appreciation of the connection between physical health and emotional well-being; she specializes in women’s health and supports clients across the lifespan. Dr. Klapman works with clients who may be struggling with relationship concerns, sexual health and intimacy, identity development, grief and loss, major life transitions, and perinatal and postpartum mental health challenges.

 Dr. Klapman believes that therapy should be a collaborative, judgment-free space where clients can openly explore their emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Her approach is warm, relational, and person-centered, with an emphasis on helping clients feel connected to their values and goals. She practices from an emotion-focused lens, but tailors treatment to meet the individual needs of every client and couple she works with.
